Paulos Circus, Farmer Copley’s, Pontefract
There’s no denying it, visiting the circus is great fun for the whole family, and Paulo’s Circus was no exception. From high up in the big top, to on-the-ground comedy, there’s something for everyone.
Mr. N was the ‘clown’ and got the crowd going with his crazy antics. He certainly engaged with the children who seemed fascinated with him.
The show began with some amazing acrobatics. The kids were gazing up in the air in astonishment. The act was breath-taking, and the danger rating was off the scale! It certainly set the scene for the rest of the show.
Magic was the next act which never fails to amaze. Our beady eyes were watching closely to try and work out how things worked and how the magic was performed, but to no avail, the acts were just too quick.
Plate spinning was entertaining, the plates came very close to falling off but they never do, do they?!?
One of the most impressive acts was the Wheel of Death which was near the end of the show. As the name suggests this is not for the faint hearted, but for the brave it’s definitely worth a watch!
There were the usual treats for the kids including hot dogs, pop-corn and candyfloss to be purchased before the show. There was also flashing lights and swords which looked great in the misty atmosphere.
All seats are £7 for any show at any time which is a bargain!
